Beech started building 36's in 1968 and produced 184 in 68 and 69 before it became the A36 in 1970. Beech originally designed it as a utility vehicle/station wagon. With the double rear doors for loading and 6 seats (2 removed), this early model has a payload of 900 lb. after 74 gals of useable fuel is pumped on board. Gross weight is 3600 lbs.
I enjoy flyouts and camping and this cross country machine should be able to carry passengers and equipment to many memorable weekend outings.
