After 6 years of construction in my garage, my BD-4, N24HB, was completed and flown for the first time on 1 July , 1979. It is powered by a 180 hp Lycoming O-360A1A with a fixed pitch McCauley prop. During the last 19 years (WOW, it's almost an antique!!) Carol and I have flown the airplane throughout the country including 3 trips to Oshkosh and many flights to the Pacific Northwest.

We also attend most of the summer air shows and flyins in California. The airplane has 4 seats, but it is a great 2-seater with lots of baggage space for camping gear, fold-up bikes, chairs, etc. I have also given over 100 Young Eagle flights in the BD. It cruises at an honest 170 mph true speed and burns about 9 gals per hour. The photo shows the airplane near Bishop California with the High Sierra's in the background. Bob
