This picture was shot by Tony Ginn from his C-170. Ken was flying REALLY slow to stay in formation and did a SUPER JOB!

Ken's Lancair-IV flew for the first time in July, 1999, about 6 years after starting his project. He reports that it was a lot of work but also a lot of fun! As of late November, he has approximately 60 'very enjoyable' hours on the airframe. Preliminary flight data at 17K MSL show the plane is running 230 knots with 28" MAP @ 2500 RPM. Ken says that the more he flies, the more he discovers and learns about his plane. Here's a shot of Ken at Bullhead City, AZ where he turns a normally 4+ hours drive into a 50 minute flight!
